Laing Art Gallery

A fantastic Art gallery with an impressive collection renowned for displaying works from some of
the biggest names in contemporary, historic and modern Art. The gallery first opened in 1904 and one of the
main attractions today is the extensive collection of paintings by John Martin a romantic English painter born in 1789 famous for The Destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah, 1852 painting.

Although the Laing Art Gallery may seem like an adult only attraction, dont be fooled there much more to do,

The Gallery is open Monday to Saturday 10am – 5pm, Sunday 2pm – 5pm and has on site eating and drinking facilities at the Cafe.
